Herts Urgent Care Ltd (HUC) is an out-of-hours care provider. We started working with them five years ago when they had only 30 employees on their monthly payroll.
Thanks to the roll out of the government’s 111 initiative and the acquisition of new staff through the TUPE process, HUC now employees more than 500 people. We’ve worked with HUC to support this growth, making sure that our approach to their payroll outsourcing has been flexible enough to allow for such rapid expansion.
As a non-profit organisation, HUC also has to monitor costs carefully. We provide HUC with regular cost centre and departmental breakdowns, so management can easily see where the most money is being spent.
Recently, HUC has begun providing the 111 service in an additional county, where the staff are employed under different terms. To ensure that HUC is fully in line with TUPE regulations, we’ve modified our payroll processing to accommodate these new employees – making small but significant changes such as adjusting payment dates.
